Some more thoughts on the Swedish bad boy

Maybe I should explain for those who has never heard about this journalist and writer (Jan Guillou), that he is known to be quite mean in all public discussions. He is smart, with a rich vocabulary and a rhetoric experience that probably scares the shit out of people since he can easily make them look very bad.

He was recently mocking another writer who was positive to the idea of having books on internet, by pointing out that his colleague didn't sell as many books (as he does himself). He has also said about one of his old intelligent friends, that he only could socialize with new-rich people, since he didn't have good enough manners (as he has himself, with his upper-class background). Please note that this what he is saying about a friend...

Since he comes across as mean (I don't know him in person and can only refer to what is written about him and what he has written himself) I find it amusing to hear him explain his agent experience with a foreign state as childish, naif and simpleminded. Why should we believe that he didn't know what he was doing?

But honestly, hasn't he proven to be quite childish, naif and simpleminded also regarding other topics during the years?
