I'm getting crazy! Trying to read on a webpage when the text is moved to the left in front of my eyes. Just to be able to show some stupid ad from the above mentioned companies.
OK. I've seen it now. I delete the ad, and move the window so I can continue reading.
Then, it happens again! And again.
The last days this has happened to me on different webpages. What idiotic agency is proposing such commercial? I hate it, I don't want any text to disappear in front of my eyes even once. I will definitely never buy any of those brands!

Which Bagge in Idol is really a cow?
I thought they had removed Anders Bagge from the show after he happened to said Idol should be closed down, as he did a few weeks ago. Apparently not. Don't know who writes the script, but I think letting him start the show by saying that he himself is charming was a mistake! I do not find him charming at all. Rather spoiled and unprofessional, if you ask me. Look at his face when he delivers some nasty comment as he did today. Not charming at all!
To hear a jury member call his colleague and exwife "sow" (or "cow") as he did today, is just too much. Maybe they use to call each other such names, due to their last name.. I don't care. It didn't sound nice at all. Anders Bagge is not acting as a professional jury member! How can the international Idol brand owners allow him on the show...?

I regret staying home
I try to ask people; what would regret you hadn't done if you were me, a few years from now?
I asked someone who have some experience and have seen others in my situation. She answered "you might regret not finding out what you really want to do".
Always when I ask something, I tend to realize the answer myself, because I always have an answer when people ask me something.
I know what I regret when I look back today.
I regret not taking all opportunities. Opportunities at work, when I was unsure of my abilities, and didn't dare. Sometimes I took opportunities but didn't succeed, but that's easier to live with. One tend to learn thing even from mistakes, just like people say. ... I regret not taking opportunities in my private life too, to do new things, meet new people or to travel to new places.
So what did I do? I stayed home by the family too much when I was young. Later I stayed too long in some of my relations. And then I stayed home with my kids and felt responsible when being single, instead of going out.
My answer to myself would be; take care about the time you have and enjoy yourself, take care about relations with other people, take care about your health, take care about the opportunities you see.. and don't stay home!
Now I'm just about to fix my home for Advent, and make it tidy and Christmas like!
Maybe I like to be at home?!

Coaching styles
I am very fortunate to get professional coaching. The coaches tend to say things like "you must..", "you should...", "you can't...".
Today I met another coach who listened and asked questions.
Suddenly I got a lot of inspiration!

Vaccination to almost grown up children...
Finally, there was an opportunity to get one of my children vaccinated since children should be prioritized and he wouldn't get it at his school.
By the way, my children are growing up. Having a daughter who cooks the dinner as she likes to have it, who is smart and has recently learned most subjects at schools (knows everything) puts some pressure on me. Or rather offloads me, all depending on how you see it. I just have to get used to it. Very grown up, but not exactly every day.. But who is grown up every day?
My son who used to be my little baby is now getting a downy thin mustache. I just need to stop looking at it.. Maybe they think, oh mum is starting to get some wrinkles at the eyes, better not stare at them!...? No, they wouldn't even notice...

Skavlan puts awquard questions on family members deaths
Unfortunately there is a another interesting show at the same time as Idol. It is a sitcom run by a Norwegian guy called Skavlan. It's a great show because the guests are always very interesting, and there is also a discussion among the guests. Interesting subjects too.
What I don't like is how they treat people.
For instance when the famous football player Henke Larsson was there, Skavlan gave him the question "how did it feel to get the news about your brother's death just after a football game?". And then the camera was zooming into Henkes face. How awkward isn't that?
Tonight the famous comedian Hasse Alfredsson and his son were invited. Skavlan said "there was also a third son, in the family, who died". You could tell that they were not prepared to talk about that at all. Hasse told some story which saved his son from getting the camera up in his face at that moment.
When Malin Åkerlund was a guest Skavlan made her look stupid since she had obvious problems to understand his Norwegian, while he himself doesn't understand his Swedish guests (not when they make jokes). He didn't understand Hasse Alfredsson very well, nor my favorite Sissela Kyle.
Tonight he had also some American guests, and it seems he understands English pretty well. First guest was a man who had been sitting in jail waiting to be killed for twenty years although he was innocent (in the US). Interesting. To us that sounds like a completely different world.
Then finally the country singer Toby Keith, who has been invited to sing in Oslo at the peace price ceremony this year, although he is known to be pro certain wars. Toby Keith was wearing his cowboy hat covering half of his face, which wasn't at all necessary, since he didn't even get any awquard questions on death in his family as several of the other guests....

Tears for what?
Today's Idol made me shred a tear or two. When every participant was singing to a parent or to someone else he or she cared about, it became quite touching. Especially Reza who was singing to her mother, living far away in her home country.
It was a funeral for one of my ex colleagues and friends today. I didn't go, although I felt like hugging them. I wasn't that close so I would belong there. I knew the Company was going to be represented by some managers and a separate memorial was planned for the colleagues at the office. Do you ever think about who would come to your funeral if you would die just now? That guy probably knew people that aren't aware of what has happened...

My old stationary PC
I'm stubborn enough to continue to use the old home PC I paid a fortune for years ago. Yesterday I used different techniques to try to speed it up and then tried to reduce the noise by changing the power supply (just to give you an idea of what I'm up to). My children thought I had gone crazy when they found me on the kitchen floor using a saw in the PC.
People tell me I need a man. Well, most men don't change power supplies in their PCs, trust me!

Scandal. Teachers get vaccine instead of pupuls in Stockholm schools.
A Stockholm school had ordered vaccine for their pupils. The official plan was to start with the smallest kids. Unfortunately there is not enough vaccine for all the pupils in the school, since the teachers have prioritized themselves. Isn't that a scandal???

Today's Idol show was great
The show was great today. How come even the jury seemed more professional than usual? Only the sport commentator has not yet understood that he in his role should be unbiased and not push for his favorites (Eddie and Calle). Is it for example necessary to tell the audience that it's up to them if they want to vote for both Calle and Marriette or only for one of them? Isn't that obvious?
It seems mostly the girls make me shiver, but all the girls still in the show are really great singers. Both Reza, Tove and Marriette gave me the shiver (need to find out if that´s correct English). They were really good. And I like the music too.
The duets were interesting. Eddie brought down Reza since he sang out of tune as usual, and it seemed she was holding back maybe from courtesy to avoid his voice from drowning.
Marriette gave Calle some of her professional dignity and they were really great together.
I agree with the jury who calls Tove and Erik stars. Even an middleage women like me loves them.

Looking for the key to unlock the job door
My feeling is that I've to go through a door. A big massive door. And just like in one of those "prisoners at the fort" competitions at TV that I never watch, there is no way around it.
If I'm going to pay my bills in the future, which is a prerequisite to live as I do, with a standard that I'm used to, I need to learn how to unlock that !"#¤%&/(* door.
To have some basic understanding of marketing isn't enough, in order to find the code or the key, I need to become a sales person. If I don't become a sales person who can sell myself I won't get a job. Unless I find the backdoor and it's unlocked...

Small scale networking
By the way, I try to network. In Stockholm if you see someone you know a little, it is not obvious that you talk to that person. You might, you might not. That's the Stockholm way.
These days I don't let anyone that I recognize pass me, at public transportation or on the street or anywhere without talking to that person, letting them know I'm looking for a job.
The other day I happened to meet a guy in the basement who was repairing something. You can not imagine who much interesting information I got while he was trying to make the reparation (slightly disturbed by someone chatting...). To me the basement meeting was more informative than attending a special seminar!

Modern ways of sorting job applicants
Sweden must be a country with a limited number of companies, since there are only about 9 million inhabitants. Still there are hundreds of companies that provide job databases, and if you are looking for a job you should be register in every database. Of course you have written an CV and you add a personal letter on every job you apply for. But you also have to use electronic tools to rewrite your cv every time you register in a new database, at a headhunter or apply for a job!
The first thing you have to fill in is you age, your gender, your marital status and where you live etc. Then you have to rewrite every detail of your cv, like every job you have had and projects and educations etc!
Nowadays the human resource department can easily sort the applicants that they want to have for an interview, and don't need to spend any time at all on the rest.
Do you think they start by setting an age span? But marital status (Married, divorced, single, widow)why do they need that??
I'm so surprised that aren't asking for race, religion and political views as well. Oh, no that's forbidden. Even in Sweden...
When will it be forbidden to automatically sort on age, gender, marital status, where you live and how old your education is?

I hate when people are fooled by bullshit
Today I met a lot of creative people, it's always cool to meet creative people.
But I also met two losers who were going to live on pyramid selling. Wasn't it kind of me to tell them that they were fooled and probably had bought some marketing flummery. "But all companies are like pyramids", they told me, "the ones at the top earn much more than the ones at the bottom". Sure, but if you work in a normal company you know what terms you have, what salary you will get etc, you're normally not trying to convey your friends to join and pretend they will get cured or rich or something and most important of all, you don't need to pay a fortune for using the shit yourself.
I also told them there were investigations made my the National Food Administration that proved that what they had learned from some friends were just bullshit. Wasn't that kind of me? I didn't tell them in front of a lot of other people..

No flue vaccine this week, not even for kids
We were too late. This week there is no vaccine to get anywhere. The reason is that schools and children have been prioritized. Fine. But my kids school has decided not to vaccinate (it's a "free"-school so it's up to the headmaster) and the childrens' care (BVC) only vaccinate kids up to the age of six. So my children won't get any.
There is a web page where I can see where they have got vaccine. Some special clinics.
So, what happens if anyone get sick? In other countries I believe people have got medicine when they got sick, to prevent serious illness. In Sweden, health government has decided that testing sick people are too expensive and giving medicine is not necessary unless you are about to die. So parents who call the hospitals are told to stay home with their sick children until it is really "serious".
If my child get sick I hope it's not non-office-hours, because nobody can stop me for getting the medicine. At non-office-hours or if it's really serious, people have to sit and wait for 5-6 hours among other sick people to see a doctor in Stockholm. But it's the same for most people. You can only be sure to get medicine, help or whatever you need if you have a doctor in the family or as a close friend. A few people might have some private insurances too. But it's not that common. Yet. But it sure will be in the future.
