Modern ways of sorting job applicants

Sweden must be a country with a limited number of companies, since there are only about 9 million inhabitants. Still there are hundreds of companies that provide job databases, and if you are looking for a job you should be register in every database. Of course you have written an CV and you add a personal letter on every job you apply for. But you also have to use electronic tools to rewrite your cv every time you register in a new database, at a headhunter or apply for a job!

The first thing you have to fill in is you age, your gender, your marital status and where you live etc. Then you have to rewrite every detail of your cv, like every job you have had and projects and educations etc!

Nowadays the human resource department can easily sort the applicants that they want to have for an interview, and don't need to spend any time at all on the rest.
Do you think they start by setting an age span? But marital status (Married, divorced, single, widow)why do they need that??
I'm so surprised that aren't asking for race, religion and political views as well. Oh, no that's forbidden. Even in Sweden...

When will it be forbidden to automatically sort on age, gender, marital status, where you live and how old your education is?
